N6-methyladenosine (m6A) is the most abundant internal chemical modification on mRNAs and lncRNAs and has a broad function in biological metabolism.
We previously published the m6A-atlas database, which has been cited by 150 times in less than 3 years.
With growing enthusiasm toward m6A and accumulated sequencing data, we decided to update m6A-Atlas database to provide a more comprehensive view of m6A landscape among different species.
m6A-Atlas v2.0 was expanded to include 797,091 reliable m6A sites among , with 13 high-resolution technologies and 109 conditions.
Additionally, sites derived from single-cell technique were presented for the first time.
Besides high-resolution data, more than 16 million m6A enriched regions were recorded in the updated version from 2,712 MeRIP-seq samples.
Compared with other RNA modification databases, m6A-Atlas v2.0 covers the most species ( in m6A-Atlas v2.0 VS 12 species in RMBase 2.0).
We also provide a novel function that enables querying of differentially methylated m6A peaks between different conditions.
